The presidential campaign of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis reportedly refuted a statement made on Wednesday by former President Donald Trump’s campaign spokesman Steven Cheung, who claimed that the Never Back Down super PAC’s bus had “broken down” in Des Moines.
Cheung’s allegation was quickly refuted by Christina Pushaw, the fast response director for DeSantis’ 2024 campaign, who stated that passengers were simply “unloading luggage” off the bus when he shot the picture.

Prior to Trump’s address with the Westside Conservative Club on Thursday at the Machine Shed in Des Moines, Iowa, Cheung tweeted.
Hours after Trump attacked DeSantis on social media for pronouncing his name differently from the governor, the campaigns began a battle that has grown more heated and childish in subsequent weeks.
DeSantis commented on the seemingly continuous low blow attacks and blatant lies hurled by the Trump camp as it desperately attempts to stave off his challenge during an appearance on “Good Morning New Hampshire with Jack Heath.”
“I think it’s so petty. I think it’s so juvenile. I don’t think that’s what voters want. And honestly I think that his conduct, which he’s been doing for years now, I think that’s one of the reasons he’s not in the White House now. Because I think he alienated too many voters for things that really don’t matter. So I don’t get in the gutter for any of that,” DeSantis said.
