Stephen Miller, who was a senior adviser during the initial Trump administration, will now reportedly resume his duties in a senior policy position at the White House in January, according to multiple officials who verified the news on Monday.
Miller has been appointed as the deputy chief of staff for policy by President-elect Trump.
Miller is anticipated to assume a prominent position in the implementation of Trump’s immigration agenda, which includes the widespread deportation of immigrants without legal status.
Miller was responsible for the development of several of Trump’s immigration policies during his first term, such as the prohibition of travel from several majority-Muslim countries.
He will collaborating with Susie Wiles, who was appointed as Trump’s chief of staff last week.
Miller was the leader of America First Legal in the run up to the election, an organization that initiated numerous litigation against Democratic policies during the Biden administration.
Miller became a more consistent presence on the campaign trail as Election Day approached, speaking at Trump rallies about the necessity of deporting illegal immigrants and reducing the number of migrants entering the country overall as part of Trump’s America First agenda.
