On Saturday, Jeff Roe, the principal strategist for the super PAC supporting the 2024 presidential campaign of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, tendered his resignation.
The significance of the matter: Roe’s departure from Never Back Down is the most recent in a string of personnel-related setbacks and occurs mere weeks before the crucial Iowa caucuses.
“Effective immediately,” Roe announced his resignation from his position in an X post.
Roe indicated in his post that he “cannot in good conscience stay affiliated with Never Back Down given the statements in the Washington Post today.”
Roe joins the growing number of Never Back Down employees who have resigned or been terminated in recent weeks.

According to the New York Times, former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt abruptly resigned as chairman of the super PAC in a letter dated late November.
Additionally, the CEO of the super PAC, Chris Jankowski, tendered his resignation in November.Politico reports that Kristin Davison, who succeeded Jankowski as CEO, was terminated mere days after assuming the position.
Politico reports that two other members of the group were recently terminated, including a PAC spokesperson and senior official.
