New Poll Shows Almost One Third of Democrats Want Biden to be More Anti-Israel

Approximately 33% of Democratic voters expressed the opinion that President Joe Biden should adopt a more assertive stance towards Israel, as indicated by a recent survey.

A recent Politico/Morning Consult poll, conducted from April 5 to 7 and including 6,004 registered voters, revealed that 33 percent of Democratic voters believe that Biden has not displayed sufficient assertiveness towards Israel during the Israel and Hamas conflict, while eight percent believe that he has been excessively forceful.

Meanwhile, 42 percent of Democratic voters indicated that they believed Biden’s approach has been “appropriate” or “adequate.”

According to the survey, 12 percent of Republicans and 19 percent of independents expressed agreement when asked if Biden should adopt a more assertive stance towards Israel.

In total, 34 percent of voters concurred that Biden has not displayed sufficient firmness towards Israel, whilst 17 percent believed he has been excessively stringent.

When questioned about their compassion towards either Israel or the Palestinians, 22 percent of Democrats indicated a greater inclination towards sympathizing with the Palestinians, while 16 percent exhibited a stronger sympathy towards the Israelis.

44% expressed empathy towards both factions.

In contrast, 45 percent of Republicans expressed greater empathy for Israelis, while only 25 percent of independents shared the same sentiment.

Among Republicans, 7% expressed greater sympathy towards Palestinians, whereas among independents, this figure was 13%.
