DeSantis Pulls in Massive 2 Million Fundraising Haul

This week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis raised $2 million in 48 hours for his presidential campaign according to a new report from Axios.

In contrast to former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, who has been establishing connections with major GOP donors, DeSantis maintains his substantial fundraising efforts in the weeks leading up to the Iowa caucuses.

Furthermore, DeSantis has expanded his base of high-dollar donors despite the fact that many of his donors had already contributed their maximum amount.

Donors were asked to contribute a maximum of $11,600 to five fundraisers held on DeSantis’ home soil in Florida.

The funds collected were to be divided among three political action committees: one for the leadership, one for the primary, and one for the general election.

DeSantis amassed $5 million in cash at the end of the fourth quarter, compared to Haley’s $9.1 million and Trump’s $36 million, whereas he had raised $15 million in the third quarter.

DeSantis has transferred personnel and resources to Iowa in recent weeks in the hopes that a strong performance in the January 15 caucuses which will serve as a springboard for future contests.
