Following the first Republican debate, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis reportedly had an astounding increase in funding.
The DeSantis campaign revealed to Fox News Digital that it received more than $1 million in donations in the 24 hours following the Milwaukee primary on Wednesday.
“Ron DeSantis showed Wednesday night that he is a proven leader who will deliver results as president, and we are thrilled with the flood of support we have received since his debate victory,” DeSantis campaign manager James Uthmeier reportedly said.
“We look forward to building on this momentum in the weeks and months ahead as the governor continues to outwork everyone in this race as he lays out his vision to reverse our nation’s decline and revive the American Dream.”he continued
Former Vice President Mike Pence, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, Former Governor of South Carolina Nikki Haley, Former Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie, Former Governor of Arkansas Asa Hutchinson, and Former Governor of North Dakota Doug Burgum are other GOP presidential hopefuls who took part in the debate but have not yet disclosed their post-debate fundraising totals.
The amount of donations received is consistent with how viewers viewed the argument go.
A Washington Post survey conducted in conjunction with FiveThirtyEight and Ipsos found that Republican respondents believed DeSantis defeated Ramaswamy.
