At the opening GOP primary debate, Ron DeSantis reportedly blasted Hunter Biden for making a fortune from his artwork.

DeSantis mentioned the president’s son during his introduction to “Bidenomics”

According to reports Hunter Biden has earned an estimated $1.3 million from the sales of his paintings since they had their gallery debut in 2021 in New York City.

His patrons include Democratic donor and Biden appointee Elizabeth Hirsch Naftali, a California real estate investor who contributed to Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign and raised money alongside Vice President Kamala Harris in advance of the 2022 midterm elections.

“If you are working hard and cannot afford groceries, a car or a new home while Hunter Biden can make hundreds of thousands of dollars on lousy paintings, that is wrong. We also cannot succeed when the Congress spends trillions and trillions of dollars. Those rich men north of Richmond have put us in this situation,” DeSantis said.

As part of its ongoing inquiry into the economic transactions of the younger Biden, the House Oversight Committee asked Biden’s former buisness partner to submit records and communications pertaining to Hunter Biden’s artwork in July.

According to bank documents disclosed by the House Oversight Committee, the Biden family and its affiliates earned more than $20 million from business partners in the countries of Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Russia, China, and Romania.

Hunter Biden’s taxes are currently the subject of an inquiry by the House Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways and Means Committees.
