According to a new survey, Gov. Ron DeSantis will do better against President Biden than Donald Trump in the 2024 race for the White House.
According to the DailyMail.com/J.L. Partners study, Biden defeats every conceivable Republican opponent with the exception of DeSantis, who he trails 43% to 44%, comfortably inside the margin of error.
According to a survey conducted by DailyMail.com/J.L. Partners, Trump trails Biden by 44% to 46%.
Former vice president Mike Pence loses to Biden 32% to 39%, while former governor of New Jersey Chris Christie falls to him 38% to 41%.
DeSantis, who is the main rival of the outgoing president in the GOP primary, has emphasized electability in his message to primary voters.
According to the survey, DeSantis leads Biden by five points among independents, winning them 43% to 38%.
The DailyMail.com/J.L. Partners survey also reveals that many Democratic voters are leery about Biden’s advanced age.
Biden is the oldest president in US history at the age of 80. At the end of it, if he wins reelection, he will be 86 years old.
According to the study, 71% of Democratic voters believe Biden is too old, compared to 14% who think he is the proper age and 15% who aren’t sure.
Republicans have raised fears that Trump’s escalating legal troubles, including his 37-count charge for allegedly stockpiling confidential documents, and belligerent demeanor may turn off voters in a future election.
The survey, which was conducted from June 12 to June 15, included 1,000 likely general election voters and had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
