Katie Pavlich, a familiar and trusted presence on Fox News for more than a decade, is now reportedly leaving the network to host her own nightly political program on rival outlet NewsNation, marking a major career milestone for one of conservative media’s most recognizable voices.
Pavlich has been a Fox News contributor since 2013 and became a staple for viewers through her frequent appearances and guest-hosting role on The Five. While she never held a permanent primetime slot at Fox, she was widely regarded as one of the network’s most dependable commentators, regularly stepping in across the lineup and offering sharp political analysis grounded in conservative principles.
Beginning in early 2026, Pavlich will anchor a new 10 p.m. program on NewsNation. The show will be her first permanent primetime hosting role, a significant step after years as a rotating contributor at Fox.
Her departure also coincides with another professional shift. Pavlich recently stepped away from Townhall.com, where she spent 16 years building her reputation as a conservative writer and commentator. Together, the moves signal a new chapter in her media career — one that places her squarely in the spotlight as a nightly anchor.
In a statement announcing her move, Pavlich said she was excited about the opportunity. “I am honored to join NewsNation during this dynamic period in its development, and the opportunity to anchor a primetime program is an exceptional privilege,” she said.
She emphasized her intent to engage a broad audience while maintaining substantive political discussion. “I look forward to bringing a fresh perspective on the news to Americans across the country, while presenting a venue for thoughtful debate across a wide spectrum of opinions,” Pavlich added. “It’s a front row seat to history — I can’t wait to buckle in and get started.”
Pavlich’s exit underscores NewsNation’s continued push into primetime political programming — and a noticeable shift toward conservative voices. With Pavlich joining the lineup, two of the network’s three primetime hosts will now be former Fox News personalities, signaling a strategic effort to compete more directly in the cable news space.
NewsNation president Sean Compton welcomed Pavlich to the network, saying her addition would strengthen the channel’s evening coverage. “The aim is to deliver an additional hour of political news and analysis that helps [viewers] make sense of the day’s most important headlines,” Compton said.
He praised Pavlich as a veteran of the industry. “Katie is a seasoned journalist and commentator, and we believe her unique voice will be a tremendous asset to our primetime audience,” he added.
For Fox News, Pavlich’s departure closes the book on a long and productive chapter. For viewers, it marks the end of an era — and the beginning of a new one, as Pavlich steps into a leading role in primetime cable news.
