Andrew and Tristan Tate are now reportedly the subjects of a criminal investigation in Florida, just days after their return to the United States following the lifting of a travel ban by Romanian authorities amid ongoing legal issues, including allegations of human trafficking.
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced that his office would collaborate with law enforcement to conduct a preliminary inquiry into the Tate brothers.
He indicated that based on the evidence reviewed, search warrants and subpoenas would be issued in the active investigation.
While the specific details of this new investigation remain unclear, it may mirror the allegations they face in Europe.
Uthmeier highlighted the seriousness of the accusations, stating that the Tates have publicly admitted to participating in activities that resemble solicitation and trafficking, and some accusers include minors.
He emphasized that such behavior is unacceptable in Florida and that the state will not tolerate it.
Following their arrival in Florida, Andrew Tate expressed confidence in their innocence, stating that they have never been convicted of any crime. However, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis publicly declared that the Tate brothers are unwelcome in the state.
The Tate brothers are also under scrutiny in Romania and the UK, where they face additional legal challenges, including a lawsuit filed by a Florida woman who claims they falsely accused her after she traveled to Romania to meet them.
The attorney representing the woman praised the initiation of the investigation, stressing the need for justice for the numerous victims identified across various countries.
The Tate brothers remain in a precarious legal situation as they navigate multiple investigations and lawsuits while bouncing between numerous contries.
