Charles Kushner, the father of President-elect Trump’s son-in-law, has now been appointed to the position of United States Ambassador to France, according to an announcement made by the President-elect.
“I am pleased to nominate Charles Kushner, of New Jersey, to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to France. He is a tremendous business leader, philanthropist, & dealmaker, who will be a strong advocate representing our Country & its interests,” Trump announced on his Truth Social platform.
The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, expressed his approval of Trump’s victory almost immediately after it was announced and stated that he was prepared to collaborate with the next administration.
Macron praised Trump’s capacity to advocate for the people of the United States of America throughout his second term in office, despite the enormous criticism that Trump has received.
As a former attorney, Kushner is well-known for his work in the legal field as well as for developing the real estate corporation known as Kushner Companies.
The youngest son of President Trump, Barron Trump, is currently enrolled at New York University, where Kushner is also a member of the Board of Trustees. Kushner was also appointed to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council.
In 2004, he entered a guilty plea to charges of tax evasion, lying to the Federal Election Commission, and retaliating against a federal witness.
He was freed from prison after serving a sentence of two years in prison following his guilty plea. During the final month of his presidency, Trump gave Kushner an official presidential pardon.
