On the day before Thanksgiving, multiple Democratic representatives from Connecticut who are members of the United States House of Representatives were reportedly the targets of bomb threats.
Following the announcement made by the Trump transition team the previous day that some of President-elect Donald Trump’s nominees had received bomb threats, the threats arrive today.
The houses of Representatives Joe Courtney (D-CT), Jahana Hayes (D-CT), Jim Himes (D-CT), and John Larson (D-CT) were all targeted, according to statements released by each of these representatives.
Following the revelation made by the Trump transition team on Wednesday, which stated that multiple Trump nominees and appointees had been the target of violent threats to their lives and the lives of those who live with them, the threats came and went.
Elise Stefanik, a Republican from New York who is Trump’s nominee to serve as the United States ambassador to the United Nations, stated that she and her family were the victim of a bomb threat.
After that, more people made public declarations that they, too, had been the target of the attack.
On the eve of Thanksgiving, Scott Turner, who is Trump’s choice to lead the Department of Housing and Urban Development, stated that a bomb threat was made against his residence.
Former Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who was Trump’s nomination for the position of United States Attorney General until Gaetz withdrew from consideration last week, reportedly got a pipe bomb threat, which caused a bomb squad to respond in Florida.
Punchbowl News stated that the threat was received. According to Fox News, other individuals who have received threats include defense secretary nominee Pete Hegseth and CIA director nominee John Ratcliffe.
Additionally, the residence of commerce secretary nominee Howard Lutnick in Manhattan has also been the target of a bomb threat.
