President Joe Biden’s family is allegedly now contemplating his likely departure from the 2024 presidential race.
The considerations include Biden’s health, his family, and the stability of the country, with any decision being maximally calibrated to help the Democratic Party overcome former President Donald Trump .
According to reports, first lady Jill Biden, his son Hunter, and his sister Valerie Owens are among the family members that are considering the drastic change.
The Biden campaign has insisted publicly for days that he will not drop out, and White House spokesman Andrew Bates has publicly denied that the Biden family is discussing such a move.
On Wednesday, it was revealed that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) had met with Biden in person and reportedly advised him to halt his re-election campaign for the welfare of the country.
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) reportedly told the president privately that he cannot win in November and may even jeopardize Democrats’ prospects of reclaiming the House if he remains in the race.
Meanwhile, over 30 congressional Democrats have publicly called for the president to withdraw from the campaign, including at least five more House members on Friday.
The rumors of the Biden family’s discussions came a day after Trump spoke at the Republican National Convention and officially accepted the party’s nomination.
