Former President Donald Trump, fielding questions from reporters at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday, said his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, is not intelligent enough to do a news conference.

During the news conference, Trump discussed a wide range of topics and campaign developments, mentioning that he has committed to take on Harris in three debates on three different networks next month.

In addition, Trump hit back at questions concerning the purported excitement surrounding the new Democratic ticket and attacked Harris for appearing to shun the press.

“You have not had a public campaign event for nearly a week now. Tomorrow, you’ll be in Montana, which is not a swing state. Some of your allies have expressed concern that you’re not taking this race seriously while there’s enthusiasm on the other side,” a reporter stated.

“What a stupid question,” Trump said in response.

“Why haven’t you been campaigning this week?” the same reporter asked.

“Because I’m leading by a lot and I’m letting their convention go through. And I’m campaigning a lot. … I’m speaking to radio, I’m speaking to television, television is coming over here. Excuse me, what are we doing right now?” Trump said in response.

“She’s not doing any news conference. Do you know why she’s not doing [it]? Because she can’t do a news conference. She doesn’t know how to do a news conference. She’s not smart enough to do a news conference.” Trump added.
