Following the announcement that Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, had chosen Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate, Gov. Ron DeSantis wasted no time on Tuesday morning in blasting him.
“Harris-Walz: most left-wing ticket in American history,” DeSantis wrote on one of his social media accounts.
“Walz is an unbridled leftist,” he wrote in another post later that same day.
A similar, if predictable, message was not the only one that a Republican hastened to offer online.
In his social media commentary, DeSantis made numerous disparaging remarks about Minnesota during Walz’ tenure.
“Minnesota was ground zero for the BLM riots of 2020″ DeSantis said, claiming that he “sat by and let Minneapolis burn.”
