Earlier this week, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) issued a dire warning about President Joe Biden’s new proposal to “reform” the U.S. Supreme Court was a cover for his intention to “destroy” the court, as it is the sole significant government institution that the political Left does not currently control.
Cruz made the comments during his most recent episode of “Verdict” with co-host Ben Ferguson, during which they discussed Biden’s Oval Office address on Wednesday evening.
“What has changed? There are no Democrats willing to stand up to the radicals now.” Cruz said.
“If Kamala Harris, is the President, God forbid, and if Democrats win the House, and if they gain just one seat in the Senate, they have right now 51 Democrats, if they gain one seat, they will have the votes to end the filibuster. And so, if you end the filibuster, they can do it with just 50 votes in the Senate. They will do that because the Supreme Court is the one institution of government they do not control right now, and they’re willing to burn it to the ground. This is a radical agenda. And it’s who Biden and Harris are.” he continued.
