Governor DeSantis reportedly approved a new $116.5 billion state budget this week, however he also vetoed over one billion dollars of liberal spending at the same time.

A large number of issues received approval, however the governor rejected over $1 billion worth of line items. The budget was praised by DeSantis as “fiscally conservative”.

“And part of that is just a reflection of we wanted to keep the budget within a certain parameter. Some of the stuff I don’t think was, was appropriate for state tax dollars. Some of the stuff you’ll see are things that I support, but we have actual programs for.” DeSantis said during a press conference on the matter.

Over seven proposed state park, cultural arts, and transportation projects in the Bay Area were vetoed.

Despite the fact that transportation is receiving billions of dollars in funding.

“Highway construction. 140 new lane miles. Almost two billion for 3,100 lane miles of resurfacing,” DeSantis remarked.
