Never Back Down, the super PAC of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, reportedly canceled all of its 2024 advertising reservations in Iowa and New Hampshire, amounting to $2.5 million in ad purchases, just weeks before the Republican presidential primary begins.

The cancellation was initially reported by the advertisement monitoring, organization AdImpact Politics.

Scott Wagner, the organization’s chairman, said in a statement that the decision would enable his PAC to “cover the air for Governor DeSantis” while a newly formed outside organization, Fight Right, concentrates on its “core mission” of conducting a grassroots operation in the early states.

The cancellation occurs with less than one month remaining until the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary commence.

Never Back Down’s strategic pivot is noteworthy in light of the fact that the super PAC purchased advertisements in the spring and summer and performed campaign-like duties, such as organizing door-knocking operations and conducting massive advertising campaigns to galvanize voters.

In recent weeks, Never Back Down has experienced personnel changes, including the departure of its chief strategist, Jeff Roe.

In the interim, an additional pro-DeSantis Super PAC has surfaced.

The organization, known as “Good Fight,” officially enrolled with the FEC on Wednesday and procured a $1.3 million reservation for a broadcast and cable advertisement to air immediately preceding the Iowa caucuses.
