Sources close to both parties confirmed to the Des Moines Register that Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds will formally endorse Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for president on Monday at a rally in Des Moines, following months of subtly expressing her support for him.
Reynolds is scheduled to speak on Monday at DeSantis’ pre-debate rally and on Tuesday morning at a meet-and-greet in Davenport.
After that, she’s going to Miami to assist him in raising money for the debate on Wednesday.
Getting Reynolds’ official endorsement, according to DeSantis, would be “a huge get” for his campaign on a call with Iowa reporters on October 25.
Trump was offended by the choice and has already attacked Reynolds for what appears to be her cozy relationship with DeSantis, calling her not loyal enough.
Reynolds was a steadfast supporter of Trump during his presidency, but she refrained from endorsing him at the beginning of the 2024 contest.
