This week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis came under fire from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for his remarks regarding the country’s refusal to accept Palestinian refugees from Gaza.

The comments came after an unparalleled wave of terror strikes last week by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, which killed over 1,400 Israelis.

“I don’t know what Biden’s gonna do, but we cannot accept people from Gaza into this country as refugees. I am not going to do that. If you look at how they behave, not all of them are Hamas, but they are all anti-Semitic. None of them believe in Israel’s right to exist.” DeSantis told supporters at a recent rally.

On Monday night, Ocasio-Cortez joined CNN, where she urged Israel not to take forceful action in response to the atrocities, which also injured over 3,000 Israelis and led to hundreds of kidnappings.

“And I also want to address something very specific about what Governor DeSantis said when he said, ‘all Gazans are anti-Semitic,’ How incredibly destructive and dangerous that rhetoric is.” Cortez said.

Cortez went on to remark that DeSantis’s remarks were “reckless and no leader in the United States of America should be amplifying a message like that.”
