In a video introducing her countrywide ‘Mamas for DeSantis’ campaign, Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis reportedly argued that her husband, Republican presidential nominee Gov. Ron DeSantis, would do for America what he did for “us in Florida.”
In Iowa, Casey DeSantis and Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds will jointly make the official announcement of the start of the campaign on Thursday night.
“In America, we’ve witnessed a lot and put up with enough. We’ve been forced into silence, into compliance, told that we must trust the science. We have been told that we must deny truth, back down, and look the other way.” DeSantis remarked in the video.
“But enough is enough. When you come after our kids, we fight back. Because there’s nothing we won’t do to protect our children.” the First Lady of Florida continued.
In the ad, Casey DeSantis claims that her husband would carry Florida’s agenda—which prioritizes the economy, crime, education, and parental rights—to the federal level.
Florida’s statewide Mamas for DeSantis organization was originally started by Casey DeSantis on favor of her husband in the 2022 gubernatorial race, which he easily won by a 20-point margin.
