Former Trump administration official Ken Cuccinelli is now reportedly claiming that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ promise of eight years in power compared to Trump’s four is attracting the attention of Republican funders.
Never Back Down was founded by Cuccinelli with the intention of assisting DeSantis’ 2024 presidential campaign. Although the governor of Florida has not yet formally announced his candidacy for president, he has long been regarded as Trump’s most formidable opponent, who is still the Republican front-runner in current polls.
The former president declared his intention to compete for the office of president a third time in 2024 in November.
Cuccinelli reportedly told the newspaper that he has seen how long it may take for a presidential administration to get its act together.
Cuccinelli, who worked for Trump in the DHS from 2019 to 2021, claimed that the Trump administration didn’t hire the appropriate personnel until the last few months of Trump’s first term.
Reince Priebus, who left his position as White House chief of staff in July 2017 after the shortest tenure ever, and Anthony Scaramucci, who left his position as director of communications for the White House just 10 days after taking office, were just two of the departures that marked Trump’s first year in office.
