On Saturday morning, the socialist mayor of South Fulton, Georgia, was reportedly taken into custody and charged with burglary and first-degree criminal trespass.

According to Fox News, South Fulton Mayor Khalid Kamau was arrested on Saturday and taken to the Fulton County Jail before being released later that day after paying a $11,000 bond.

According to reports, the mayor went inside a residence he thought was deserted.

According to reports, the homeowner’s phone alerted him that there had been activity on his property before 7 a.m.

Kamau was reportedly leaving the house when the homeowner contacted the police and told him to “stay put,”

As Kamau was being led by cops into a police vehicle while being handcuffed, reporters accosted him. He apologized to the property owners and replied that he was there “just to see the house.”

Kamau has been a member of the city council since 2017, and he was sworn in as mayor in January 2022.
