Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), the running mate of former President Donald Trump, received renewed support from the former president on Thursday following a flurry of criticism from the Harris campaign and the liberal media.
Both Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota, have persisted in trying to brand Vance “weird” as weird for his support of the traditional family and opposition go transgender ideology.
During Walz’s first rally with Harris earlier this week, he even brought up an entirely made-up anecdote about Vance.
During a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago residence, the former president reiterated his trust in his running mate, Vance, despite some in the media claiming he regrets tapping him.
“I have to tell you, JD Vance has really stepped up. He’s doing a fantastic job,” Trump remarked.
In addition, Trump stated that his campaign had consented to a vice presidential debate on CBS in addition to the three presidential debates scheduled for September on Fox News, NBC, and ABC.
He did not specify the date of the vice presidential debate, though. The Republican contender continued by saying that Harris must still consent to the debate rules.
“We have spoken to the heads of the networks and it’s all been confirmed other than some fairly minor details,” Trump concluded.
