In a move likely to reignite debate over the origins of the Russia-Trump collusion narrative, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on Wednesday reportedly declassified a long-buried House Intelligence Committee report alleging that U.S. intelligence officials mischaracterized critical information in 2016 and that foreign powers were aware of serious health concerns surrounding then-Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

The 29-page report, originally prepared by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence in 2020 under then-Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), remained classified and was stored in a secure vault at CIA headquarters—until now.

Despite being drafted in September 2020, the findings were never made public during the chairmanship of Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), raising further questions about transparency within the intelligence community.

Fox News Digital obtained the full report, which contains redacted sections but offers extensive detail on what Russian intelligence allegedly knew in the months leading up to the 2016 election.

According to the report, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service possessed communications from the Democratic National Committee indicating that President Barack Obama and Democratic Party leaders viewed Clinton’s health as “extraordinarily alarming” and potentially damaging to her electoral prospects.

“Her health information was being kept in ‘strictest secrecy’ and even close advisors were not being fully informed,” the report reads.

The document claims Clinton was suffering from “intensified psycho-emotional problems, including uncontrolled fits of anger, aggression, and cheerfulness,” and was being treated with a daily regimen of “heavy tranquilizers.”

Beyond emotional instability, the report states that Clinton suffered from a range of chronic conditions, including “Type 2 diabetes, ischemic heart disease, deep vein thrombosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.”

The revelations, if verified, would offer a sobering reevaluation of the state of the Clinton campaign in its final months.

Perhaps even more explosive is the report’s assertion that Russian intelligence had access to DNC emails discussing a campaign strategy “approved by Secretary Clinton to link Putin and Russian hackers to candidate Trump in order to ‘distract the American public’ from the Clinton email server scandal.”

Speaking at the White House Wednesday, Gabbard also accused former CIA Director John Brennan and top intelligence officials of knowingly advancing a misleading narrative based on faulty and politicized intelligence.

“They mischaracterized intelligence and relied on dubious, substandard sources,” she said, referencing the debunked Steele dossier as one such example.

“Brennan and the IC misled lawmakers,” Gabbard continued, “by referencing the debunked Steele dossier to assess ‘Russia’s plans and intentions,’ falsely suggesting that this dossier had intelligence value when he knew it was discredited.”

The report challenges the foundations of the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment, which claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin had a “clear preference” for Trump.

“Key findings on Putin’s alleged support for Trump, including this intelligence reporting, would have exposed the ICA’s claim as implausible, if not ridiculous,” Gabbard concluded.

As 2026 looms, the declassified material is expected to further energize conservative calls for accountability over what many have long viewed as a politically motivated intelligence operation targeting Donald Trump.
