At the Republican National Convention on Tuesday, Donald Trump was reportedly praised by his erstwhile opponents who had previously attacked him, a stunning display of cooperation that demonstrated how he has changed the GOP’s perception of him over the past ten years.
After Trump escaped an attempted assassination at his event on Saturday, the party, which was already unified around the former president, has become even more ardently supportive.
Meanwhile, following his dismal debate performance, Democrats are divided on whether President Joe Biden should pursue his reelection campaign.
The day after the massacre, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley’s office said that she would not be speaking at the convention; nevertheless, on Sunday, she was confirmed as a speaker.
Haley, the final significant opponent of Trump in this year’s Republican primary, spoke directly to her supporters on Tuesday as she entered the stage to a mixture of jeers and applause.
In spite of the mixed reception Haley delivered a full throated endorsement of Trump.
In addition, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis also spoke out in Trump’s favor, giving him his full endorsement in spite of being one of his most fearsome primary opponents.
Our enemies do not confine their designs to between 10AM and 4PM. We need a commander-in-chief who can lead 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
America cannot afford four more years of a Weekend at Bernie’s presidency.

DeSantis took aim at both Biden and Democrats as a whole:
“I am alarmed that the current president of the United States lacks the capability to discharge the duties of his office,” DeSantis said.
“Donald Trump has been demonized. He’s been sued. He’s been prosecuted. And he nearly lost his life. We cannot let him down. And we cannot let America down.” he continued.
