Following widespread criticism of Joe Biden for his unimpressive performance in the debate on Thursday night, former President Donald Trump made a prediction on Friday indicating that Biden would continue to be the Democratic nominee for president.
After Biden’s dismal performance at the CNN presidential debate, numerous Democratic pundits argued that he should resign and make room for someone else to take his position.
Trump told Fox News that he thought Biden would not be replaced. Democrats became alarmed when Biden began to mumble and make other grammatical errors during the discussion.
“Yes, I think he will be the nominee,” Trump said when asked by Fox News.
“No, I don’t think so. They wouldn’t have done any better. No one else would have been better.” Trump continued after being asked if any of the other potential democratic presidential candidates could have performed better against him.
Throughout the discussion, Biden chastised Trump for his handling of the economy and persistent legal issues, while Trump regularly attacked Biden over the record number of illegal immigrants who have entered the country while he was in office.
