CNN Commentator Dead

A CNN political commentator who had served for a number of prominent Republican officials throughout her career, Alice Stewart, has passed away at the age of 58, the network announced over the weekend.

Saturday morning, her remains were discovered outside in a neighborhood in northern Virginia, CNN was informed by law enforcement officials.

According to a Saturday report by the network, there is no suspicion of foul play and officers are convinced that a medical emergency occurred.

Stewart, who was born in Atlanta on March 11, 1966, established a professional trajectory encompassing journalism and positions of authority for prominent Republicans such as former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN).

Social media was inundated with tributes to Stewart from political figures, her CNN colleagues, and others in the media industry.
