House Republicans have joined the call for Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
A week ago, House Republicans initiated a sequence of impeachment hearings in opposition to Mayorkas.
“Yes, Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas should be impeached. Mayorkas has disregarded his oath of office and the Constitution by letting in 8 million illegal aliens. One of the reasons we have such bad outcomes in Washington is because no one is ever held accountable!” DeSantis wrote in a recent post on X.
The havoc that the Biden administration’s immigration policy has wreaked in the United States was the subject of a hearing before the Homeland Security Committee last Wednesday.
DeSantis has previously stated that he would deploy the military to the southern frontier and authorize service members to use lethal force against drug cartels if elected president.
