Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ administration this week reportedly published Covid-19 immunization recommendations that directly contradicted the advice of the Biden administration.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advised everyone six months of age and older who had not received a Covid-19 dose in the previous two months to get a booster vaccine on Tuesday because to the increasing number of infections.

“I will not stand by and let the F.D.A. and C.D.C. use healthy Floridians as guinea pigs for new booster shots,” DeSantis said.

“What I have directed our department to do is to provide guidance that really recommends and advises against the use of these mRNA Covid-19 vaccines for anyone under 65,” Dr. Joseph Ladapo, DeSantis’s surgeon general said.

Florida people younger than 65 are recommended not to take the upgraded boosters, according to Mr. DeSantis’ office.

The DeSantis panel was the most recent illustration of how his administration disregarded federal regulations pertaining to Covid vaccinations.

Recently, the DeSantis campaign has attacked former President Donald Trump, whose administration the mRNA vaccines were produced, by bringing up the Covid and vaccinations concerns.
