Two new ads from the super PAC that is supporting Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) for president in 2024 reportedly feature his children as well as his wife, Casey DeSantis, and her heroic battle with cancer.
Never Back Down’s latest commercial, “The Bell,” centers on the bell that Casey DeSantis rang following her final chemotherapy session. Pictures of Casey DeSantis, Ron DeSantis, and their family appear on the screen, intercut with her talking about how her husband helped her and their kids through her battle with breast cancer.
In a different advertisement dubbed “Unique Lens,” Casey DeSantis’s Instagram and X, the website that replaced Twitter, are used to display social media messages.
The two advertisements are a part of a broader, seven-figure purchase that started on July 31. In Iowa and New Hampshire, where the first caucus and primary, respectively, will be held in 2024, the advertisements will begin to run this week.
Each commercial lasts 30 seconds.
The new advertisements debut just days before Milwaukee hosts the first primary debate of the Republican National Committee. With the exception of former President Donald Trump, who has stated he will not attend, Ron DeSantis will compete against his Republican rivals.
