According to the sources, DeSantis will submit papers to the Federal Election Commission next week announcing his candidacy. A formal announcement is anticipated the following week in Dunedin, Florida, where he was born and raised.
DeSantis is expected to soft-launch the campaign as early as Wednesday to coincide with the filing of the paperwork.

Numerous of his best contributors and fundraisers have been called to South Florida in anticipation of being asked to start raising money for a DeSantis presidential campaign, setting in motion the machinery for a launch.
